The occipital bone is located at the back and base of the cranium. It forms the posterior part of the skull and encloses the back part of the brain. The occipital bone contains the foramen magnum, a large opening that allows the spinal cord to pass through and connect to the brain. It also helps protect the cerebellum and occipital lobe of the brain.

The frontal bone of the cranium forms the front part of the skull, including the forehead and the upper part of the eye sockets (orbits). It protects the brain and supports the structures of the face. The frontal bone also contributes to the formation of the cranial cavity.

The vomer is a thin, flat bone located in the nasal cavity. It forms the lower part of the nasal septum, which divides the left and right airways in the nose. The vomer plays a role in supporting the structure of the nasal passages.
